Blue, like a rose

A white rose, standing for innocent desire and hope, made blue by what surrounds it. It is kind of... poetry-in-a-picture.

Sometimes pictures say it better....

Do you identify with the white rose? Full of innocent desire and hopes but made blue by things that surround you?
You seem keenly aware of the things around you and profoundly affected by them. Your words are very eloquent - a gift....
I hope I am not presumptious in assuming the "love" mentioned in a previous post is a girlfriend - a potential mate perhaps...Of all relationships - this is perhaps the only one where there is the potential to become "one" with another person...Often from personal experience I've found it easier to accept certain traits or "faults" in "friends" rather than in potential mates - particulary because of the "mirror" - Acceptance of self has to always come 1st -

Thank you,
She is a love. No one in my world comes close to her. Oh, she has faults, and, oh my, so do I. After 4 years, we know them well. We have despised each other for them. We have also learned to accommodate and forgive each other through them. So, as we grow, this love, this innocent desire, this hope for a future, also grows. How it has remained pure; I can only attribute to God. For it to flourish, in the face of this criticism, it must remain pure. It may be blue, but is is still pure.

May it flourish....
